Organic Matcha tea from Japan
Organic matcha is refined green tea powder made from certified organic Camellia sinensis plants. It is rich in natural catechins, providing a smooth and luxurious flavor profile with minimal bitterness. This versatile variety is used in various culinary sectors, including food, beverages, baked goods, and sweets. Additionally, matcha acts as a natural food coloring and a key culinary ingredient.

The traditional matcha whisk, also called “chasen,” is used in the Japanese tea ceremony to prepare frothy matcha tea. The whisk is handmade from a single piece of bamboo. Precise cuts create flexible bristles, which are gently curved at the bottom, while at the top they are bound together and finished with a special wooden handle.

Matcha tea preparation:

Add 1/2–1 teaspoon of matcha (1.5 g) into a cup or matcha bowl (a wide-bottom bowl allows easy and convenient whisking in water and quick foam formation) and pour up to 100 ml of hot water (80°C). Whisk the matcha until, in about 20 seconds, your bowl is filled with perfect jade-green foam. You can now add more water if you want your matcha to be less strong. You may add plant-based milk and sweeten to taste.

To achieve the best result, the whisk should be soaked in hot water before use.
