Organic kale powder
Traditionally, kale has been used as a food, so its use as a food supplement has not been widely studied. In recent years, however, there has been a growing body of research on the health benefits of kale. Here are some of the areas where kale has been and is still being studied:
– Cabbage is rich in essential vitamins and minerals such as A, C, K, calcium and manganese.
– Leafy green cabbage contains antioxidants such as beta-carotene, flavonoids and polyphenols that help protect cells from free radical damage.
– Some studies suggest that kale may have anti-inflammatory effects due to its high antioxidant and phytonutrient content.
– Nutrients in cabbage, such as fibre, potassium and vitamin K, can contribute to heart health, help lower cholesterol and regulate blood pressure.
– Cabbage is a good source of fibre, which can aid digestion and help fight constipation.
Attention!
– Leafy brassica contains compounds called goitrogens, which in large amounts, especially when consumed raw, can disrupt thyroid function.
– Some people may experience digestive upsets, such as bloating, especially if large amounts of kale are consumed.
– Leafy brassica is high in oxalates, compounds that can cause kidney stones in susceptible people. For those who are prone to kidney stones, smaller amounts are recommended.
Consumption
– Cauliflower powder can be added to smoothies, porridges, soups, stews, sauces or baked goods. It provides additional nutrients.
–
There is no standard dose for cabbage consumption, but a typical serving is around 1-2 tablespoons per day.
However, individual tolerance and nutrient needs may vary, so it is best to start with smaller amounts and adjust as needed.
