These lentils are an excellent source of vegetable protein and therefore a valuable addition to vegetarian and vegan diets.<\/p>\n<p>The fibre-rich red lentils aid digestion, give a feeling of fullness and help regulate blood sugar.<br \/>\nThey are low in fat and calories, while providing high doses of vital minerals such as iron, potassium and magnesium, which are essential for overall health.<br \/>\nRed lentils also contain a variety of B vitamins, including folic acid, which is essential for cell division and DNA formation.<br \/>\nIn addition, the versatility of lentils makes them an excellent ingredient in soups, stews, curries and salads, adding both nutrients and great texture to a variety of dishes.<br \/>\nSuitable for children&#8217;s meals &#8211; just as it is, mixed with half rice or vegetables.<br \/>\nAccording to Ayurveda, the soaking of lentils has several benefits, such as aiding digestion and nutrient absorption.<\/p>\n<p>Usage:<br \/>\nSoak and soak for 4-6 hours before use. 1 part lentil requires 2-4 parts water.
