Organic sage essential oil Alteya, 10 ml

Sage essential oil is extracted by steam distillation from the leaves of the Salvia officinalis (medicinal sage) plant. The plant takes its name from the Latin word ‘Selvere’, meaning ‘to save’. Sage oil is a clear or pale yellow liquid with a fresh aroma.
In aromatherapy, sage essential oil stimulates the mind while providing a sense of balance and calm. It is believed to be able to diffuse negative emotions. It can also improve memory and alleviate digestive and breathing difficulties.
Topical sage oil can help remove toxins, reduce pain from minor skin damage and reduce the visibility of scars, stretch marks, wounds and swelling. After diluting the sage oil with the base oil, it can be applied to the skin, especially for acne, insect bites, stings, minor wounds, etc.
Because of its moisturising and soothing properties, the oil is particularly beneficial for dry or irritated skin.
Sage oil is also used to relieve muscle and joint pain, digestive problems and skin conditions such as dermatitis.

Sage essential oil blends well with bergamot, geranium, ginger, lavender, lemon, orange, rosemary and tea tree oils.
