Finely ground roasted organic chicory coffee
Chicory coffee is a decaffeinated beverage made from roasted chicory roots and offers a great alternative to traditional coffee. Chicory coffee, known for its rich and earthy flavour, is often used as a decaffeinated coffee substitute.
Chicory’s mild bitterness and aromatic qualities make it a versatile ingredient in both hot and cold beverages, and it can be mixed with traditional coffee or served on its own. Chicory can also be used to flavour desserts. It has a distinctive taste.
Preparation:
Pour one teaspoon of chicory coffee over boiling water. Leave to infuse for 5-10 minutes. To taste, you can add herbal tea and/or your favourite sweetener. For a thicker drink, it is recommended to steep the coffee for about 2-3 minutes longer.
