Vietnamese brown rice papers are a more nutritious alternative to the traditional white rice paper. Can you make delicious rolls filled with vegetables and tofu? This brown rice paper is super easy to roll and can even be fried. With this brown rice paper you can quickly and easily prepare a nutritious lunch. Tip for making rolls: hold the rice paper under running water for about 5 seconds – don’t let it soften too much. Place on a cutting board or plate and you can see how it softens naturally as you fill the sheet with filling. Rolling will be much easier. Tapioca starch makes rice paper sheets very easy to handle, making them ideal for beginners and experienced cooks alike. Is there a desire to add diversity? Then you can try frying them until crispy – frying the rolls in a pan in oil, but not in a deep fryer.
Usage:
Soak the rice paper leaves one by one in lukewarm water. Do not soak for more than 5-10 seconds – they will still soften during filling. Add rice noodles, vegetables and, for example, smoked tofu, then dip in your favourite sauce.
